AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY CHILD IS CONFIRMED IN A CLASS? Once you purchase your class online, your child will automatically be enrolled. Your email receipt of your purchase acts as your confirmation. There are a limited amount of slots, per class, therefore once all the slots are purchased, the class is full and closed. All other inquiries will need to be made at firstname.lastname@example.org and your child will be placed on a waitlist.
I AM UNABLE TO SIGN UP FOR (PURCHASE) THE CLASS THAT MY CHILD PREFERS Most likely this means that the class is full. Please contact the ASEP coordinator at email@example.com to have your child placed on the waiting list.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO THAT I PAY FOR EACH CLASS? The $$$ are needed to pay the program instructor and material costs if any. 5% of the instructor fee goes to the PTO to help sustain our valuable program, and 2.9% off the top goes straight to the credit card companies. Either way, a bargain!
I NEED TO CHANGE FROM ONE ASEP CLASS TO ANOTHER. AM I ALLOWED TO DO THIS? WHAT ARE THE STEPS? Yes, if your child doesn't like the class for any reason WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES, please contact the ASEP coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will either issue a complete refund OR you can transfer to another class, pending availability, and the difference between classes will either be reimbursed or collected. This class change is limited to the first week of each ASEP session.
MY CHILD WENT TO 5 CLASSES AND NOW WANTS TO DROP OUT. CAN I GET A REFUND? No! Your child has an opportunity to attend the first class and make a decision on whether or not they would like to stay in the class. After that, there will be no refunds, pending an extraordinary circumstance.
HOW DOES A MINIMUM DAY AFFECT THE ASEP CLASS SCHEDULE? There are no classes on minimum days EXCEPT for Wednesdays. Therefore if a minimum day falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, the after school class will not be held. Please see schedule for meeting dates.
HOW DOES TTT OR CITY DAYCARE AFTER SCHOOL CARE WORK WITH ASEP? It is the parents responsibility to communicate with the instructor and the day cares.If your child attends TTT or City Daycare, they will be collected when school lets out and will be walked over by the day care providers and picked up after their class is over. PLEASE BE SURE TO INFORM THE DAY CARE IF YOUR CHILD IS TAKING A CLASS. or if there are schedule changes.
WHERE DOES MY CHILD GO AFTER SCHOOL AND BEFORE THEIR ASEP CLASS BEGINS? Your child needs to be tended to at all times in order to limit district liability. Once your child is released from school, he/she needs to either go to TTT, City Daycare, be in your presence or needs to be watched by another parent. No child can play on the play ground unsupervised between the end of school and their ASEP class.

WE CANT AFFORD AN ASEP CLASS, DO YOU OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS? There is 1 scholarship per class, per child that is offered pending approval from the instructor and the principal. If your family needs financial assistance, please reach out to the ASEP coordinator for further assistance.
I CAN'T REMEMBER THE DAY AND TIME OF MY CHILD'S ASEP CLASS. HELP! Check in with your instructor. Not all classes have the same schedule. The ASEP coordinator is not responsible for keeping parents abreast of schedules. Please note that due to Holidays and other district events individual classes may sometimes have schedule adjustments. Please see the class description for these details AND COMMUNICATE WITH THE INSTRUCTOR.
