![]() Quote of the week: “This is not a goodbye, my darling, this is a thank you.” -- Nicholas Sparks (writer) Dear Ocean Shore Families, Well, it's the last letter of the year. By this time next week, our 8th graders will have graduated, our Frontierland picnic will be over, and summer will have begun. COVID has complicated the end of the year, but Oceans 411 was a smashing success, as was our Open House. I am profoundly grateful for the gift of your children. No matter how busy or stressful things are, one of your children will say or do something to make me smile every single day. Every single day. In those moments, I feel like I have the best job in the world. I know things will get even better in 2022-23, and I am thrilled that I will have the privilege of being your principal next year! Thank you for your support and for trusting Ocean Shore with your children. To those families that are "graduating" or leaving our school community, I wish you the best! Here's to a safe, fun and healthy summer! Jeanne Shout out to our student council for organizing spirit week. Here I am in my bathrobe reading to Lily's Kindergarten class on PJ day. So fun! School Business Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are minimum days this week. Thursday will be the last day of school and our picnic at Frontierland. All library books and chrome books need to be returned to your child's homeroom teacher. PTO General Meeting Slides 6-2-22 OSS Talent Show 2022-Let's Go Crazy COVID reporting: There were two positive pools from Wednesday's testing Follow up rapid testing on Friday yielded no positive cases. I will send a separate email later on with case numbers and exposure information. If you or a family member test positive, please email Ayesha Siddiq, asiddiq@pacificasd.org. There will be no pool testing next week. Return to School after an illness: Parents, please remember that we need a negative COVID test if your child has been out sick. Parents are also required to fill out this return to school form: Ocean Shore Return to School Form. COVID numbers are rising in San Mateo county. There is no mask mandate, but masking, vaccinations and keeping your child home when sick are vital ways to minimize the spread of disease. Frontierland Picnic: Students can not attend the picnic unless this permission slip is filled out. link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf0bF0Rs58rKMOXxhNP542xrODeBFPgkXPS4YgsLfjZo9cyew/viewform?usp=sf_link Frontierland Food information: For the return of our traditional OSS last day of school picnic at Frontierland Park we are teaming up with Pacifica's own Colombo's Deli to offer you and your families a Sandwich Meal Deal!
